The brief

One campaign had to carry three very different asks: annual giving, three new buildings and a bigger endowment. It had to speak to current parents, alumni and grandparents at the same time. And it couldn't sound like it was selling. The rule, written into the guide: if we feel the urge to sell, something is wrong.

What we made

  • IDEAThe name and the premise: The world needs more Highlanders. A donor isn't paying for a building. They're voting for more of a certain kind of person.
  • SYSTEMA lockup where any Highlander noun takes the line's place: Elevate Achievers, Elevate Innovators, Elevate Champions. One lockup, twenty-four headlines.
  • GUIDEA 59-page brand guide: voice, lockups, color, type, grids, photography and stationery.
  • WEBelevate.lhprep.org: what the money is for, how far along it is, and who has already given, with live progress counters.
  • PRINTCabinet business cards, letterhead and donor pieces, plus apparel, social avatars and post templates.

Results

$40M raised toward a $41M goal, from 3,313 donors. The endowment is at 155% of its goal and the Highlander Fund at 122%. The Porter Family Center opened in 2023. The athletic center broke ground in May 2026.
